Redux was inspired by the snowy landscape around Arlé’s home during the winter of 2022. In writing about her stitched fiber wall hangings, Arlé stated: “The connection to world events, and climate extremes affecting everything in the natural world, are ‘underground’ guides as I focused on formal compositional issues.”
