Artist Statement: I make quilts to create territories — physical as well as visual. From the time of our first MQG group themed show, I have lived and worked in countries rich in silks, exploring their possibilities. In this quilt I revisit and combine familiar patterns with a bolder and broader palette, to reflect the vibrancy inherent in known and solid ground.
