Material Witness is a piece I created around week 17 of 19 weeks on the Grand Jury. I am glad that I served on the Grand Jury, though for me it caused many sleepless nights thinking about the cases we heard. This work reflects the chaos and sporadic emotion I felt during that time period. It was a heady responsibility deciding whether to indict or NO BILL a case. The bars represent my entrapment in the courtroom as well as my responsibility in the process that leads to others being entrapped.
