Much of my career is based around journalism and writing. After a long career as a staff writer at the Wall Street Journal, much of my writing and lecturing is about some aspect of quilts and quilting from history to art to commerce. As a quilt maker since 1988, I’ve been an omnivore who experiments with many techniques and styles. These days my quilts tend to be improvisational with elements of collage and they almost always include words. My Burning Man quilt is a special favorite and helped inspire my virtual Textile Talk “The Textiles of Burning Man.”
