Artist Statement: Having recently spent time looking back at my work over the years — where I started and where I am now — I have been seeing my art from new angles. I found the results of taking the time to actually “look” and acknowledge the journey I have taken to be surprising! Where I thought I was jumping out of my own box, I could see similarities to things I made 35 years ago. I could see the passion in exploring an idea which I had forgotten about long before and now found that I can reconnect to the thought process and try again. I could see the movement of ideas much like watching the light move through the tree branches…and it grounds me in a fresh clarity about why I love making in the first place.
